I woke to find the world transformed and everything covered in a fluffy blanket of white. It looked like more than the 3″ we were predicted to get, so I opened the back door to measure. Plunged the ruler in to find roughly 4.5″ of snow. Amazing! This kind of snowfall almost never happens here, so I am delighted.

Sweater Weather & Apple Pie
A deeply quiet and overcast day. The raindrops make a soft pitter-patter sound as they land on the roof hatch. Misty trailing clouds hang low over the huddled brick buildings. I am grateful for a peaceful morning of calm. It’s not normally this quiet in the city, so I enjoy it while it lasts.

Starlings Murmurate at Dusk
An aerial dance across the November sky. Tuesday, November 18, 2025 Grey and heavily overcast with misty clouds hanging low over the city. The rainfall, sometimes soft other times more intense, was accompanied by numerous lightning strikes. One of which was very close by… I was started by its sudden flash and loud burst of thunder. A Sudden Cold Snap
I awoke to discover a light dusting of white powder and shortly thereafter, more snow began to fall. Tiny little flakes at first, then larger fluffy ones, swirling down out of the sky. I don’t know why, but watching the snow just makes me happy.

Leaves Crunch Underfoot
You know it’s truly autumn when dry leaves crunch beneath your feet as you walk down the street. Some of the trees are nearly bare and a chill hangs in the air. The Moon, shrouded in soft misty clouds, peers down at you from between the empty tree branches. Thanksgiving is coming!
