Looking to the east, the supermoon is rising slowly above the treetops. The setting was a bit eerie, its luminous glow encircled by bare branches. The moon’s path just so happens to be in alignment with my desk window (which is quite unusual). So I got to peek at it numerous times without even getting out of my chair. It was very bright and the moonlight seemed quite strong, enough to cast clearly defined shadows across the sill.

Leaves Crunch Underfoot
You know it’s truly autumn when dry leaves crunch beneath your feet as you walk down the street. Some of the trees are nearly bare and a chill hangs in the air. The Moon, shrouded in soft misty clouds, peers down at you from between the empty tree branches. Thanksgiving is coming!

The Waning Gibbous Moon Glows
October 8, 2025 Awake before the sunrise to find clear skies and a glowing waning gibbous Moon (still close to full) looking large and bright in the western sky.
